About Tyler West 

Born and bred in South London, Tyler West is a versatile talent with many strings to his bow, from featuring as a guest presenter, to hosting his own show on national television, he is a young creative who has rocketed in the industry as quick as he has been introduced to it. 


His passion for presenting derives from his many interests covering Film, TV, music, DJ, sport and fitness. His first step in the  industry was co-hosting the live Streetdance XXL Championships at Wembley Arena in front of thousands, this marked the starting block for Tyler's career.

Tyler has always been a keen sportsman and fitness enthusiast, and through this he was introduced to handball, he quickly progressed through the England academy pathway and played for the GB handball team, representing his country in competitions around the world.  


Whilst playing handball, Tyler was interviewed by CBBC for the hit kids TV show ‘Friday Download’.  The BBC quickly saw potential and Tyler became a guest presenter for the show, which in turn led Tyler presenting for CBBC’s 'MOTD KickAbout’  Blue Peter & Various other features across CBBC.


Tyler was chosen for Broadcast Magazine as one of the 2015 HotShots. Awarded as one of the top 26 new talent in Television, and top 5 on-screen talent. At just 19 Tyler landed his first series,  hosting a brand new show on CBBC, ‘KickAbout+’  This RTS nominated show focused on sports beyond football and proved to be a big hit on the channel, reaching out to more of a diverse audience. 

In 2017 Tyler became the host of MTV News, a childhood dream covering entertainment and trending news on a weekly basis. From hosting backstage at Wireless Festival, to creating deep dive mini-documentary's. Here he's been able to showcase his skills of conveying a message about some of his many passion areas.

It's is not just in television where Tyler has made a statement. Continuing to make a presence in the online digital space, he became one of the leading presenters on the LEGO YouTube network to over 6.5million subscribers. 

With his passion for storytelling, Tyler developed an idea for inspiring stories to be told - his podcast the 'Every Day Hustle' . An original idea by him produced by Studio71uk, the show contained weekly Interview's with a variety of industry professional's and inspiring people, highlighting pivotal days in their lives that steered their journey. Upon launch it peaked at number 12 in the iTunes podcast charts. (available on, Acast, Spotify and Apple Podcasts). 


Later in the 2018, tip-toeing even more into entertainment he became the host of HQ Trivia, the award winning trivia app. Hosting the UK show live every week to the apps nationwide users. A new world of media consumption. 

Tyler's passion for sport and fitness grew and he became a qualified personal trainer and started a fitness company TNT. This ran community exercise classes helping others achieve their goals. 

With his experience on HQ Trivia Tyler became the host of MTV Stax. An entertainment quiz that broadcast's live from MTV Studios in London on Facebook Watch every week. The quiz is focused on urban pop culture with thousands of pounds up for grabs. 

Running into 2019, Tyler was the latest addition to the Kiss FM team with his own weekly slot 7pm-11pm Mon-Thurs on the UK's hit radio station. A socially-interactive show incorporating listeners’ interests including music, fashion, YouTube and sport. Playing the freshest new music specialising in pop, hip hop, R&B, urban & house.

With the jump to radio, Tyler DJ'd at various events in the UK and abroad. 2019 saw him performing at various live events from festivals in the UK to party hotspots like Marbella, and Magaluf.

After 6 months on the KiSS evening show, Tyler was offered the KISS Drive Time show 3-7 Mon-Fri. Providing the soundtrack for listeners journey home, to competition giveaways, and all the chat in between. The KISS Network reaches over 5.6 million listeners.

Starting 2020. Tyler also joins the weekend line-up with a brand new chart show, The KISS Hot 40, every Sunday from 5pm, counting down the biggest and best songs. Following his hard work entering the radio world his first year resulted in being nominated for a 2020 ARIA's award - Best New Presenter. 

2020 has also seen Tyler as the new host of the first ever MTV's Celebrity Ex On The Beach the podcast. Chatting with the celebs from the show, covering all the dating topics, discussions and getting that extra gossip for the fans of the show. 

In line with his passion for film, Tyler was asked co-host the 2020 EE Bafta Awards red carpet live show in partnership with Facebook, In build up to one of the biggest night's in film. Throwing to interviews, interactive games and engaging with the viewers at home. The broadcast reached over 1.5 million viewers. 

It is his genuine character, on and off screen, that drives his success and ever growing passion for presenting and entertaining, which shows no sign of slowing any time soon!
